NEW    MEMBER    INFORMATION

Atlanta Area welcomes new members to join. AABOA is dedicated to officiating high school basketball and to providing quality officials. ALL are welcome...male OR female. No experience is necessary. Our senior members will train you to become an official.

         WE ARE A HIGH SCHOOL OFFICIALS GROUP AND ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY RECREATION LEAGUE BASKETBALL.

Becoming a high school basketball official is not difficult, but it does require some patience as you learn the rules and mechanics thoroughly. Our meeting and training sessions begin the first Monday in October and runs through November We accept registration from new members in October ONLY of each year. The meeting schedule and location is posted to the "Calendar" link of this website in the Summer of each year.

The area that we (AABOA) currently serve runs in a wedge from Atlanta to Cartersville and Atlanta westward to the Alabama border. Please refer to the Georgia High School Association at www.ghsa.net for contact information for additional Georgia officials groups if needed.

Please print and bring the two forms below to first October meeting with your check payable to AABOA for dues in the amount of $65.00. For those familiar with IAABO, we are also recognized as Board 300. If you are interested in becoming or maintaining an IAABO membership, please let us know.
