Varg, chapter sixteen

Slowly releasing the smoke into the air, Viggo continued watching Sean. The other man was standing by the kitchen sink, oblivious to Viggo's ponderings as he was cleaning up after their breakfast. Dressed in a snug-fitting T-shirt and in a pair of Viggo's sweatpants he made for a very pleasant image to rest one's eyes upon, the appeal wasn't lost on Viggo. But he had a few things to think through and this morning, with sunlight lacing the floor in leaves-created patterns and a soccer match playing on the radio, it was as good as time as any.

They had been back from the hospital for only a day. So far Sean had been given some time off, while Viggo had done some finagling to secure some time off too. Thoughtfully the Dane flicked the ash of the end of his cigarette. Infact Peter had acted a little strange, but he hadn't really said anything. Viggo was pretty sure he didn't need to worry about it. Not about Ian or Billy either. He had done some thinking at the hospital as well, on how to get the situation under control again. He had made a mistake, that much was true. A tiny smile forced its way through the demure demeanor. Sean managed to surprise him still.

But he had ended up getting hurt, in a hospital. And their argument... It was the first time Sean had openly defied him like that. Viggo didn't give a damn about Mark, it had been a spur of the moment thing and had proved to a spectacularly idiotic one at that. He needed to do something to bring everything back to the way it was supposed to be. Sean hadn't mentioned the episode again after Viggo's apology. He had just been his sweet self and Viggo had no complaints about that. He just had to make sure that something like this never happened again.

He was a bit surprised over his own need to pursue this. It was a bit unfamiliar, he should be ending things by now. Instead he could see himself with Sean in the future as well as today. It was a new and kind of strange; but not unpleasant feeing.

In a quick moment he stabbed the smoke out and got out of the chair. It took him a couple of determined strides to reach Sean. Embracing the slightly shorter man from behind, he buried his face against Sean's neck.

"You know," Viggo stated, pressing a soft kiss to the warm skin. "Nobody should be able to look so tempting doing the dishes."

He had made Sean laugh.

"Then you should see me vacuuming the floors."

Viggo chuckled. "I'll bet." He hugged Sean to him. He had nearly said these words before, but had always decided to save them for the right occasion. Sean leaned back into him, enveloped in Viggo's arms. Viggo rested his cheek against the Brit's temple and said: "I love you."

The radio played on in silence.

Then Sean turned his head in an angle that looked far from healthy in an attempt to see Viggo's face.

"What...? Viggo..."

Viggo allowed him to turn around and smiled over the stunned look.

"I love you," he repeated, one hand coming to rest on Sean's face, fingers caressing the smooth skin. Sean was still speechless. Then a beatific smile made its way over his features.

"You love me," he whispered, still smiling and sounding a bit awestruck.

"Yep," Viggo nodded.

In a matter of an instant Sean was hugging him again, face against Viggo's neck, clinging to him.

"I love you too!" was somewhat distortedly said from under his chin.

"I know you do," Viggo smiled. An image of the broken door suddenly presented itself in his mind. Coming back to the house he had taken a chair and smashed the rest of the door in. He had made sure Sean didn't see it. He efficiently snuffed the image out. Carefully withdrawing a bit he curled a finger under Sean's chin, lifting the other man's face to him. About to say something he got lost in Sean's green eyes. So he simply closed his own eyes and moved in for a kiss. By then everything felt okay again.

The kiss had naturally led to more. Laying on his back in the spacious bed, Viggo was quietly running his fingers up and down Sean's naked back. He knew the younger man wasn't sleeping.

"What are you thinking about, pet?" he asked in the end.

"That I'm happy." He could feel Sean's smile.

"That's good."

Sean lifted himself up a little and folded his arms on Viggo's chest. Peering into the older man's eyes, he appeared to be searching for something.

"And you? You're...happy?"

Viggo lifted his hand and placed a finger on Sean's nose. Tapping it lightly, he grinned. "Of course I am, sweetheart. I have you here, naked, in bed with me. I'm very happy."

He got a shy smile in return. "Just checking."

Mapping Sean's face with his finger, Viggo decided that he needed to draw the other man again. Maybe break out the paintbrushes again and do some painting... He hadn't done that for far too long. Mostly he had drawn Sean while the other wasn't aware or was sleeping. It could be interesting to get the younger man to pose for him.

"You're scheming," Sean observed. He caught Viggo's finger and placed a kiss on the finger tip. "I know that look."

"Well," Viggo grinned widely. He rolled them over in a sudden move, trapping Sean beneath him. Moving in for a kiss, he murmured: "I think it's time I put my thoughts into action then, don't you agree?"

He wasn't aware that anyone was near before he felt a warm weight snuggle up to his back.

"Whatcha reading?" Dom rested his chin on Billy's shoulder, trying to see what the Scotsman was reading. Looping his arms around the other man's chest, he made himself comfortable.

"I..." Billy looked down on the book. "Cussler, I think."

"You think? Babe, I know you got the whole attention span thing going on, but you've been staring at the book for ages, The title should at least have begun to sink in." Dominick paused as Billy didn't answer. "Bill? You alright?"

Instead of answering Billy gently made his way free and turned around. Gesturing to Dom he made the younger man sit down next to him. Bluegrey eyes watched him with a puzzled and slightly worried look. A twinge in his chest reminded Billy of just how much he had fallen for his friend during their time together. And that was what he couldn't get his mind around. Everytime he looked at Dom, the mix of emotions... If you loved someone, you protected them, right? Made sure noone hurt them. Yourself included. He sighed, and pulled his boyfriend closer.

"Just a lot on my mind, doxy," he bit his lip and watched Dom intently. " I just...You would tell me, right?" he blurted out. "If I was doing something that hurt you?"

Dom was frowning. "I know you'd never do anything to hurt me..."

"But you would tell me?" Billy interrupted. "I mean, even if I didn't know I was doing it, or I didn't mean to..."

"I think I know what's going on. " Dom said slowly. "Look, Bill, you're not hurting me in any way, trust me." Dropping a gentle kiss on the other man's lips he drew Billy in close and hugged him tightly. "I know this thing with Sean and Viggo is getting to you, but you and me? We're nothing like them, we never will be. Trust me on that."

Billy hugged him back. "I will. I love you so much."

"You better. It would really suck being in love all alone."

"And you call me strange."

"You are strange, my love."

"You're just trying to cheer me up."

"I am." Dom's eyes were twinkling in a mischievous smile. "Is it working?" He got his answer as Billy kissed him.

It had taken him most of the day, but Orlando had finally made his mind up. He had heard about Sean's accident from several of the other cast members and crew, and he had known he had to do something about it right away. He didn't want to risk another confronttation with Viggo though, he was a bit ashamed to admit that the older man still scared him. But Sean was his friend, and it didn't feel right that he knew that someone was hurting his friend while he didn't do anything about it. So he carefully plotted and came up with a way to at least get to talk to Sean, and maybe if he was lucky, the blond might actually listen to him.

He had done some careful investigaton and found out that while Viggo supposedly had some time off, he had been required to meet the writers about some re-work they had done on his lines. Sean would probably stay at the house. Orlando was very good at eavesdropping when he wanted to.

So tonight it would be. He figured he should just show up at the house Sean and Viggo shared. The worst thing Sean could do was slam the door in his face. But Orli was fairly certain that the Brit was still feeling guilty for what Viggo had done to him, and Orlando could also be very persuasive when he set his mind to it. He had expected it was going to feel better when he had made a decision, but it didn't.

It felt really weird to be hiding in the bushes outside the small house, waiting for Viggo to leave. In fact he felt ridicolous. But not ridicolous enough to not shrink further back into the protective darkness as the door opened and a tall figure stepped out on the porch.

"Calm down, you idiot," Orlando berated himself. "He can't see you, he has no idea that you're here at all." Quietly he followed Viggo with his eyes, as the man walked down the stair and headed for the main building. Only when the he had been out of sight for a good five minutes, Orlando moved. After having made his way out of the bushes, he trudged up the stairs, wondering what he was going to say to Sean. He figured he would improvise. Boldly he lifted his hand and knocked on the door.

It only took Sean a few seconds to answer. For a little while they merely stared at each other.

Sean seemed a bit startled. "Orlando? What are you doing here?"

It wasn't difficult to catch the underlaying meaning, especially as Sean cast a quick look down the road. "You shouldn't be here, Orli."

"I have to talk to you," the younger man insisted. "Come take a walk with me or something? Please, I really need to talk to you. Viggo won't be back for a long time yet." He caught sight of the bandage on Sean's arm and swallowed. "Are you alright? I mean, your arm and everything?"

"What? Yeah, sure. Look, I'm really not certain about this..."

"Come on, Sean," Orlando wheedled. "Please?" He batted his eyes at Sean. "Pretty please?" He earned himself a lopsided smile for his efforts.

"Ok, I'll come. But just for a little while." Sean reached for a coat Orlando couldn't remember ever seeing him wear. He realised it must be Viggo's with a funny feeling in his stomach.

Joining Orlando on the porch, Sean sent him a look. "You coming then?"

"Yeah." Orlando shook his head. "Let's go."
