Player Profiles

Player of the Month

Name: Chris Truelove, Age 19 , height 6'4" and tanned, weight: bag of sugar, favourite film: Wham Bam Thank you Mam!, favourite music: Barry White (whilst making love), greatest cricketing moment: Getting Tim out in the nets once last season. Player most admired: Tim Richards for his rugged good looks!! and all-round cricket ability.

Winston 'Stone' Williams a prolific left handed bat, Stone holds the Club record score in the Marches League with remarkable 192*. Stone can also change games with his deceptive spin bowling, (but we are not always sure which way).

Richard 'The Bear' Thomas is a subtle cross between Colin Milburn and Alan Knott, Bear's imperious keeping skills are only impaired by the geriatric slip cordon.

Gerald Morgan the Club's elder statesman and classical opening bat who has completed 100 Centuries in his career, Gerald also bowls right arm spin when the captain allows him!

Gary Morgan is one of the League's most prolific hitters, Gary can change the course of a game in a few overs. May well be catching herrings behind the timbers this season.

Rob Wall the Club's leading wicket taker for the last 60 years, once bowled W.G. Grace.

Tom Jones is capable of bowling unplayable deliveries, it is now time for Tom to perform to his ability.

Andrew 'Harri' Harris last season Harri made his maiden century and we look forward to many more (just do not run him out!).

Shane Claridge an accurate bowler and fine fielder and capable of regular scoring, unless he is taking free kicks!

Stuart Cripps a highly fertile batsman, if he gets in then he is usually productive with strong driving in the 'V'!

Jeff Carter a line and length bowler and leading member of the lower order batsmen (Jeff is a teacher).

Tim Richards Timmy (The Gel) one-time bowler and a powerful middle order batsman; sensitive Tim enjoys poetry, soft sunsets and Jim Reeves records.

Mark Tolley Second team classic opening batsman economical between the wickets and first rate fielder.

Nic Lee First team Captain and a powerful top order batsman/wicketkeeper who also bowls leg spin. If Nic connects its normally in the church!

Chris Truelove First team opening bowler and quality batsman and fielder. Bring on Llandod!

Moritz Booysen First team left arm opening bowler agressive batsman and sharp close-in fielder. South African Mo is unplayable so long as he's got his hair band.

James Morgan a powerful batsman, completed his first senior team 50 last season. How many will he out score the old man by this year?

Jim Bowers a first class fielder who has the potential to become a strong middle order batsman.

Adam Morgan Second team Captain, 'Carnage' shows Flintoffian promise.

Mark Williams Orthodox batsman with potential to score lots of runs if his nerve holds, off-spinner and excellent fielder.

Kevin Claridge a bowler with a sackful of first class deliveries to his name.

Andrew Claridge an improving all-rounder, great things are expected of him this season.

Richard King finger spinner extraordinaire and improving batsman.

Jamie Mcaroy young left arm bowler and improving batsman. Last season's young Player-of-the-Year.

Anthony Mead a reserved and refreashing young talent and ardent tourist with a heart of oak. (Anthony is a left hander!).

Kevin Hall models himself on W.G. Grace in every way - except for the cricket!

Paul Greenway an opening pace bowler and outstanding fielder.
