Tu Rex gloriae, Christe.             You are the king of glory, O Christ.
Tu Patris sempiternus es Filius.     You are the everlasting Son of the Father.
Tu ad liberandum                     You, having taken it upon yourself
suscepturus hominem,                 to deliver humanity,
non horruisti Virginis uterum.       did not disdain the Virgin’s womb.
Tu, devicto mortis aculeo,           You, having overcome Death’s sting,
aperuisti credentibus                have opened the kingdom of heaven to
    regna caelorum.                      all believers.
Tu ad dexteram Dei sedes,            You sit at the right hand of God,
in gloria Patris.                    in the glory of the Father.
Judex crederis esse venturus.        We believe that you are the Judge
                                         who will come again.

Te ergo quaesumus,                   We therefore implore you
tuis famulis subveni,                to aid your servants, those whom
quos pretioso sanguine redemisti.    you have redeemed with your blood.

Aeterna fac cum sanctis tuis         Make them to be numbered among
in gloria numerari.                  your saints, in glory everlasting.
Salvum fac populum tuum, Domine,     O Lord, save your people,
et benedic hereditati tuae.          and bless your inheritance.
Et rege eos,                         and govern them,
et extolle illos usque in aeternum.  and raise them up forever.
Per singulos dies benedicimus te.    Every single day we thank you.
Et laudamus nomen tuum in saeculum,  And we praise your name forever,
et in saeculum saeculi.              yes, forever and ever.
Dignare, Domine, die isto            Deign, O Lord, this day
sine peccato nos custodire.          to keep us from sin
Miserere nostri, Domine,             Have mercy on us, Lord,
miserere nostri!                     have mercy!
Fiat misericordia tua, Domine,       Let your mercy, O Lord,
super nos,                           fall upon us,
quemadmodum speravimus in te.        for we have trusted in you,
In te, Domine, speravi:              In you, O Lord, I have put my trust,
non confundar in aeternum.           let me never be put to shame.
