Brief News

The Annual and Special General meeting approved the proposed changes to the constitution, and we thank all those who voted by post and proxy for their participation.

A report “Pushing at the Boundaries of Unity - Anglicans and Baptists in conversation” has been published jointly by the two churches. We’ll try to bring you the edited highlights in the next issue of Update.

A well-wisher has floated the idea that we may wish to extend our “target audience” and membership to the Methodist Church. It seems many trainee Methodist ministers are as exercised about integrity in baptism as many of us Anglicans are, and our web site is much appreciated by those he refers to it.

The survey of opinion reported on page 15 of this issue was repeated among the newly-elected members of General Synod. Some responses are still arriving, and we will bring you the results in the next issue.
