I was praying when all of a sudden this angel came and told me the most shocking but glorious news - I was going to have a baby! I was so scared when I realised what the Angel had said.
Joseph told me that the angel talked to him also and told him that my baby was the Son of God. The next day we had to travel to Bethlehem. It was a long journey and my stomach started to hurt. Finally we got to Bethlehem. They had no rooms! I felt so upset - I had been travelling all night with no food or water and nobody accepted that I was having a baby.
Then a kind man let me stay in a stable: it wasn't what I hoped for but it would do. All of a sudden my belly hurt and like a flash of light in front of me, was my baby boy JESUS. In a couple of hours shepherds and wise men came. They brought lovely gifts - it was a miracle. My son was the Son of God.
I couldn't believe my eyes, but in my heart I knew it was true.
I was sat on my wooden chair, then a bright light appeared. I was scared because I didn't know what it was. The bright light said "Don't be scared" - then I realised what it was as it got closer down. As the angel came closer to the ground it gave me some news: "God has sent me to tell you that you are going to have a baby."
When I heard the news I was shocked. Then all of a sudden the angel disappeared. I got up out of my chair and went to tell Joseph the news. When I told Joseph he said "We should go to Bethlehem to have the baby." So we packed our bags and set off on the donkey - I sat on the donkey as Joseph led the way, holding onto the donkey as it followed him.
We travelled all night. When it was morning I was hungry and so were Joseph and the donkey. We arrived at Bethlehem at dinner time. I got off the donkey and started knocking on hotel doors. But all the hotels were full. Then a kind man said "You can stay in my stable to have your baby."
We got our bags and went to the stable. There was a little manger for the baby. We were unpacking our bags - then I felt the baby coming so I sat down and let the baby come out. When the baby had come out I was tired but I was happy as well.
Later we saw some shepherds coming into the stable. We asked them what they wanted, and they said:
"There has been a new king born and we have brought a lamb for him."
So I said "I didn't know he was a king."
"Well, can we see him or not?" said the shepherds.
"Of course you can," said Joseph.
"Who told you?" I asked the shepherds. They replied:
"An angel called Gabriel."
Then Joseph told me there were three camels coming with three wise men riding them, with presents.
So Joseph and I waited for the three wise men to come into the stable. When they came in they had three presents: gold, frankincense and myrrh - all for Jesus. The wise men asked us if they could see Jesus? "Of course," I said.
But Joseph asked them if an angel had told them to come here? The wise men replied: "No. There is a bright star above the stable."
I've just heard the news about Mary - you know - she's going to have a baby. Anyway, Joseph wants me to take him and Mary to Bethlehem: he has to go because every man of every family has to go back to where he was born. Come on, then, we'd better go.
I'm now trotting along in the desert: it is warm, sticky and tiring. Mary is in quite a lot of pain.
We then got to Bethlehem. Mary and Joseph are trying to find somewhere to stay, then they got offered a barn.
On this cold winter's night the baby Jesus is born. A lovely sweet baby lying in the manger fast asleep, not making a noise but looking peacefully asleep. Now this is my time - I can now have a sleep and rest.

I'm used to walking, but this is longer - a lot longer than what I'm used to. It's cruel, that's what I say! Walking day and night with some lady on top. Mary's put on a load of weight in the last six months or so, and she's been eating more and walking less. Hmmm. Maybe she's depressed about something?
"Joseph, it's coming." Mary's complaining ... again!
"We're nearly there, dear." And then Joseph has sympathy for her.
At long last we are here. Now where is that porch for me to sleep in and them carrots I was promised by Joseph?
"Sorry, only a stable." A stable! Some innkeeper he is!
"Okay, as long as it's clean." What on earth is Joseph on about? I'm not sleeping in no stable! Never mind, at least I get to rest. Hmmm. Actually it's quite comfy here.
"AAAUGH!" What the?
"AAAAAUGH!" Eh?
"AAAAAAAUGH!" Is that Mary?
"WAAAAH!" A "wa"? Look, a baby! Oh ... that's a good baby ... it's already stopped crying. Now to kip.
Not visitors at this hour? Ah, but they've got pressies. More visitors - kings! What are they doing in a place like this?
Ah! Morning air.
"We have to go to Egypt." Egypt?! Oh well, what yah gonna do? Don't even know when I'm going back to Nazareth.

My shepherd companions and I started another night of work, but this wasn't just any old night of work looking after the sheep.
After about three hours we saw the most amazing sight! "ANGELS!" I shouted. There they were, hundreds of angels, singing and telling us to go and see the new king in Bethlehem.
We believed them, because we were great believers in God, and we knew the angels were God's messengers. Before we left for Bethlehem we sheared some sheep for wool to take for the new king.
We didn't know where we were going, but I knew God would show us the way. We walked for a long time taking all the shortcuts we could find, but I knew we would be there soon.
By the time we got there it was dark, and I mean dark! We couldn't even see our nose ends. Suddenly we crashed into the stable (I knew the king was there because there was a baby crying). When we got in we all got on our knees and started praising the new king. Before we left we all gave our presents to the new king.
That night when we got back we were still astonished from seeing the new king. I hope the new king will be able to get rid of the present king - King Herod. I believe he will, and he will be king for many years to come.

I was minding my own business watching my sheep, when some angels came down and said a new king would be born. I was stunned when I saw them, it was so bright. It was hard for me to believe that I'd seen God's angels. It was hard to see with the brightness. Then the angels left us and went away. We walked towards the star like the angels said. We got very tired. We finally got there and saw a little boy lying so quiet, but it just wasn't what we expected to see. Then we believed that God's son had come for us, and could not help thinking about the wonderful things that will happen.

It was a day like any other day. My brothers and I were having a feast with some companions. A few hours later we were stargazing when we saw a strange star that was not on the scroll. But then my brother looked up one of the prophecies that a great star would lie above the place where the Saviour is. So, excitedly, we set off to find the Saviour. We took gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. When we arrived after a long and difficult journey we fell to our knees and worshipped him and gave him our gifts. He was the most beautiful and precious boy we had ever seen. Since that moment I knew he was our Saviour and that I would love him for the rest of my life. King Herod was furious and he tried to kill the Saviour, but we told Mary and Joseph to leave before he could kill the child.
