Our Coffee Morning will run as usual, and cards, gifts, cakes and other items will be on sale.

We're inviting children to make Christmas gifts instead of going out and buying them this year, at our Advent Praise & Crafts.

God gave us a personal gift when he sent his Son Jesus at Christmas. And when we give a personal hand-made gift we put something of our own personality and character into it. We want to help children see the specialness of giving.

The event will be like the Teddy Bear's Picnic at Pentecost eariler this year, which was a great success. All children must be looked after by a responsible adult, as some of the crafts need a bit of delicacy of touch!

At the Teddy Bear's Picnic we even had a hymn specially written for the occasion (see July's Link magazine). We aren't promising the same this time, but if you'd like to have a go at writing a song for this occasion, please send it in and we'll see what we can do!
