Our finances so far this year This year we’re using a new computer program to track our finances, which is why we’re a bit late with our reports. But here’s the main story. Our Diocesan Share is roughly £35,000. We pay about £5,000 of it when we get our Gift Aid payment from the Inland Revenue, and the remaining £30,000 needs to be found from our regular income - £2,500 a month. So we should really have paid £10,000 by now, and we’re adrift by £2,000. That’s without the building work we need to get on with, or any mission giving. The message is this: we really need an extra £500 a month from our regular giving to stay afloat. [The original article included a table of figures at this point, which may be added to this page at a later date.] John Hartley
