Be merciful to me

You should see a media player panel above here:
if it doesn't work, see footnote

Be merciful to me

Be merciful to me,
for I'm under attack:
I am chased down the street
by an angry wolf-like pack,
I am slandered and jeered
by the evil and unjust,
and they make me afraid
so I come to you in trust.

In God the Lord
whose word I praise,
in God I trust,
I will not be afraid.
What can mortal men do to me?
What can mortal men do to me?

Be merciful to me,
for they twist all I've said:
they conspire and they lurk
and they long to see me dead.
But don't let them escape:
bring your anger down on them.
For I trust you, O God,
and I turn to you again.

In God the Lord ...

Your covenant stands firm, O God.
I will pay my vows of love, O God.
You've delivered me from death, O God.
You have set me free from all their threats.

In God the Lord ...

Music

Windows Media Player. When you click the left-hand "play" button your computer should have started to play the tune. If it didn't, you might be able to get the tune by clicking here, or by right-clicking the link, choosing "save target as", saving it onto your computer, and then opening it with a music-playing program.

Please remember that a midi file of a tune isn't supposed to be a state-of-the-art musical arrangement - it is only supposed to give a basic idea of how the tune goes. Any reasonable organist / keyboard player / music group could make it sound far better.
