Work on the roof

And the same corner again, with the felt laid and tar applied to make it waterproof. Because the sun was so hot (no rain in sight!) the upper elastomeric felt was not laid that day, as the tar would not have dried in time to make walking on the surface practical. The roof is now weatherproof and can safely be left for a few days until the workmen return to do the other side of the tower, when they will finish off this side too. The stonework below still needs to be treated against spores.
