About the Speak Easy Toastmasters club

Our club: The Speak Easy Toastmasters Club is a chapter of Toastmaster International, Inc., an international  non-profit organization.

Our meetings: We meet on the first and third Thursday of each month, 12:30—1:30pm at CIT, 1 CIT Drive, Livingston, NJ 07039. Members and guests who wish to attend a meeting who don't work at CIT must provide their name to the Sergeant-at-Arms at least one day prior to the meeting.

Club's email list: An extra benefit to club members and friends. This email list provides reminders of meetings, workshops, and agendas to club members and friends. Subscription is free. To subscribe, attend a club meeting and ask a club officer to subscribe you. The web interface of the email list is at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SpeakEasyToastmasters/

Free workshops: The club conducts several hands-on workshops and seminars in communication, public speaking, and leadership. In addition, the club can conduct demonstration meetings for groups interested in learning more about Toastmasters. Contact the Vice President Education for more information.

Being a guest of our club: Just come to any scheduled meetings to observe, listen or participate--your choice. You are under no obligation to participate or become a member.

Becoming a member of our club: Membership to the Speak Easy toastmasters Club is open to all who want to benefit and participate. Ask a club officer for a new member application or download it from here (PDF). All membership applications must be approved by a club officer.

Membership cost: Membership cost is composed of Toastmasters International dues and the club dues. Our club does not  have club dues. The TI  dues are $27 every six months and the new member fee is $20. TI's one time new member fee covers the costs of your manuals and booklets.
