The meeting agenda is the core of the Toastmasters benefits. Below is the list of standing rules, we have been operating under, which help us deliver quality meetings.
Everyone needs to sign-up for meeting agendas through the VP Education. You can do this at a regular meeting or by contacting the VPE directly.
Guests can also sign-up for meeting agendas if space is available. Priority is given to club members.
Every club member is expected to sign-up for all meeting roles--not speeches only.
Club members can sign-up for meeting agendas up to 3 to 4 meetings in advance. The VP Education reserves the right to make changes in order to meet club's goals.
If your name is on meeting agendas, you are expected to show up, show up on time, and be prepared to fulfill your role.
If you sign-up for a meeting agenda, you may cancel for the next (upcoming) meeting. But you are responsible to find a replacement, except for a prepared speech. You should also let the Toastmaster of the day and the VPE know right away.
If you sign-up for a future meeting (not the next upcoming meeting), you may cancel anytime. But you should tell the VPE right away. You don't need to find a replacement.
For the convenience of members, the club Treasurer/Secretary maintains a membership directory available upon request.
For the convenience of members, the VPE emails meeting agendas to the club's email list and updates the agenda database located on the club's web site.
The club's membership directory and email list are to be used for club and Toastmasters business only.
In conformance with TI policies, club members and guests shall not engage in solicitations at club meetings. Members and guests are encouraged to network and exchange information o mutual interest. If you would like to make available flyers about non-toastmasters related items, check with the club president for permission.
