news/updates:
   (posted jan. 29/10 by alex)
so, there's been another hiatus, obviously, as the site hasn't been updated since june last year. a lot's happened with both mr.morder and myself in that time, and p.w.m. is on the back-burner now, and probably will remain there for the both of us, for at least the next foreseeable while. i was just on here to clean up some shit, and make sure everything's still working fine on the site, and so i had to update the links, discography, and radio sections. minor tweaks only, but it's just good to get them out of the way at a time when we're not busy changing shit on here every other day.
anyway, as unscheduled and unannounced as these hiatuses have been, we will be back at this shit again when we have the time. right now, i have no idea when that'll be, but hey, we're sure as shit not getting paid for this, so yeah, other shit will always come in the way of our work here. unfortunate, but true. cheers for now.

alright, i'm finally back... a bit of shipping delays and setup problems, but i think that p.w.m. west is now fully back up and running, with better equipment. the plan is to have the next radio show up on wednesday june 10th, but don't hold your breath, and theODcompilation: vol. 3 will be finalized in a few days.
so yeah, it was an unexpected hiatus, but now we'll be able to do a lot more. we'll try and formally explain everything in the next radio show.

did p.w.m. die? no, we didn't die. however, at the beginning of the month, our computers did, suffice it to say. as a result, well, the site hasn't been updated for the last month, the radio shows were stopped dead in their tracks, and even the production of theODcollective's third compilation got fucked around major.
the good news? by tomorrow, we'll both be fully back up and running--hard drives have been backed up and are waiting on transfers, and blah blah blah, so you can expect more net-releases, the hard copies of theODcompilation: vol. 3, and more p.w.m. radio in the coming weeks.

well, this week's radio show has been set back a few days, due to the fact that computer "progress" notwithstanding, technology is just as unreliable as the rest of us; for those paying attention, it should be up within the next couple of days.
however! the entire radio section has been completely revamped, and is now much more functionally laid out, and we have decided to start putting out selected net-releases in addition to our cd and tape releases. the first four of these are already up, a single from selbst-morder, a conceptual remixing project put together by napalm dave and selbst-morder, and a re-issue (of sorts) of a live three-band split album from '07 by t.b.a., wantmonster, and les taberfucks. you can check them all out here.

so, p.w.m. west has been busy working on a new release, which will actually be ODcompilation vol. 3. the zine collective that we (among others) started four years ago, but had fizzled out since, is back with a new crew of people, so we'll be doing a limited cd-r for release at the OD show being held on may 2nd. it will also be available for download here shortly after the show for those of you not in the lower mainland of b.c., so keep an eye out for that.

alright, it was close but we almost had this week's show up on time. here it is. tried to do something a little different this time around, but i'll just leave it at that. also, if you haven't had a chance yet, check out my design site at morderdesign.vze.com, or at least stop into our dead board and say something so we know you were here.

this week's show also features our latest contributor, brad lahead (of the got to get got fame), who came in to play some experimental pop and overlooked rock.

a few updates, kind of: first, collaborative releases. keep your eye out, we'll likely be combining efforts with a few new underground labels soon. second, torrents. there are now several p.w.m. releases available as torrents (including both ODcollective compilations, which aren't downloadable on this site) right here. big thanks and ups to the land of the dave for the support.
and third, this week's radio show is now online. check it out here.

another wednesday, another episode of p.w.m. radio. this week's is also our first themed show; the theme? nothing but underground cover songs. featuring bad brains as played by kimya dawson, iggy pop as played by crazy russians, a severely blackened bob dylan song, beethoven, and even a couple of accordion songs.
