Saturday, June 16, 2007 - Today my new book arrived, and right away I dove into it, so far I'm still on page 2, I'm really trying to master and soak in every little detail making sure that I'm ready for the next page. To summarize, page one is about drawing a head in 6 easy free-hand steps. It ask you to do 12 drawings until you get results, I did 12 drawings on paper and a final one on my computer using the tablet. The tablet makes it a lot harder than just drawing on paper. Here is the result.

Page 2, starts talking about having good proportions and how to do this the mechanical way, here is the result. (Without Hair)

As you can now see with the right proportions the face starts looking more realistic. More soon.

Saturday, June 9, 2007 - The deadline is imminent; a plethora of work still needs to be done, from design documents to programming, sound, movie clips, and advertisement. This is what a Director has to think about, day in and day out.

This past week I've been thinking about controls, and what are fun controls, having a deep background on console games it is hard to grasp controls for a pc game. Luckily I have friends that specialize in just pc games. While I originally wanted an arrow key movement setup (as seen on the Animation Test Page), they opened me up to the possibility of using the mouse as the main control for the character.

Instead of walking around with your character you simply click on things you want to interact with, aka kill, and that is pretty much it, simple eh? A Test on this will be posted shortly. I'm currently working on the building a character page.
