One the main misconceptions about Chinese Cresteds, is that because they are hairless, they have 'low maintenance' grooming needs. This is often far from the truth! If you have a modern-style 'Hairy Hairless' Crested, you will need to shave them quite a bit in order to maintain a hairless appearance.

Even a True Hairless may have stray fuzz here and there that can be trimmed for neatness, as well as requiring basic skin care. And of course, Powderpuffs require the same grooming as any other double-coated longhaired breed.
